  • Amor Street, Asquith

    Playground settled in a residential area at the corner of Hyacinth and Amor Streets in Asquith. There is open space to play, the two swings are on rubber soft fall. The other equipment is in woodchip softfall. The main playground is partially shaded by trees. Equipment is : swing, slide and fort and some other toys.

    Playground:Asquith Park, Asquith
    It's a small unfenced and unsheltered playground with basic equipment, set at Asquith Park, near Rotherwood Ave. You will find a set of swings, some climbing frames, slide and few other elements. There is plenty of grass around to play, also, there is an oval right next to it. You will find some seating and tables under natural shade, pack some snack and a good book and chill while the kids play. Car parking is nearby off Rotherwood Ave.

  • Avonlea Drive Park, Carlingford

    This playground is lcoated on Avonlea Drive. It is unfenced and unshaded. As toy equipment you can find a play system with climbing equipment such as monkey bars and a climbing bridge. Next to it you can find a set of swings and two spring riders. Toy equipment is placed on a softfall area. At the side you can find a sheltered picnic tables and benches.

  • Beatrice Thomson Park

    Playground:Beatrice Thomson Park
    Beatrice Thomnon Park is on the Corner of Albert and Water St Hornsby NSW. It is a nice colourful playground, great fro pre-schoolers, tolders and younger school kids. A set of swings, see-saw, a few slides and a fairly short rope climbing tower. There are a few toys for toders under the main fort and stuff to explore. The two picnic tables are sheltered and the park behind the fenced playground has a BBQ.

  • Beecroft Railway Station Gardens

    Playground:Beecroft Railway Station Gardens
    Beecroft Railway station Gardens is a small fenced in area near the corner where Hannah street and Wongala Crescent,Beecroft. Set up near a busy street. It is a good place for smaller kids. This place has multiple swings, slides under small forts and a number of climbing nets of different sizes. There is some natural shade and a number of seats are also provided. This play area is across the street from a pharmacy. A short distance up Hannah Street (on your right) is a Children's Book shop and a Cafe. A bus stop is also there nearby.

  • Beecroft Village Green

    Playground:Beecroft Village Green
    This is a quite extensive playground. It's suitable for family outings because there are a sheltered BBQ and two sheltered picnic tables. There are a couple of other sitting areas inside the park. Toilets are close by. Children can drive their bikes on paths or play on swings and slides. Climbing net is also there.

  • Berowra Waters Rd

    This playground is found on the corner of Berowra Waters Road and The Gully Road, Berowra. This playground is well set up for smaller kids with a short slide and play area under the fort. A bit of road noise, but playground is fenced. There is a large oval beside and skate board area a short distance up the road. The playground is also a short walk from local shops and cafe.

    This playground is found on the Corner of Bullawai Place and Bingara Rd, Beecroft NSW. It is an open playground area with plenty of room, You will find a fort with a slide and swings are on soft fall, a spring rider and a few tunnels to explore as well.

  • Bobbin Head

    Playground:Bobbin Head
    Bobbin Head National Park is a big park with something for everyone. It's a great families destination. There is a large fenced playground with all sorts of toys. They have 16 sheltered picnic tables and a couple of sheltered BBQs with picnic tables as well. Park is situated next to an open water so you can enjoy a swim or check out some boats in the marina. The place is wonderful for family hikes (on walking trails through woods). For coffe or lunch you have a couple of options (Bobbin Inn at the entrance or Galley Foods Restaurant and Galley Foods Kiosk at the marina). There's also Gibberagong Environmental Education Centre where you can learn about nature. Overall it's a great place to visit.

  • Brickpit Park, Thornleigh

    Playground:Brickpit Park, Thornleigh
    Brickpit Park has two playgrounds - when you come to the park there's a playground with many toys for all ages. If you continue there's a skate park with a couple of picnic tables on your right. In front of the playground is a parking lot (with one space for disabled). This is a great place for all. There are sheltered picnic tables, a lot of grassy area for running around and playing. For toddlers there's a fort with slide, for others there are swings, flying foy and a climbing tower. All this equipment is scattered around the area. Kids can drive their bikes. The paths are long and circular so there's plenty space for driving. It's a shame there's no shade.

    Britannia Street Park is found among the trees on the corner of Kurrajong and Britannia Sts, Pennant Hills NSW. There are two swings (inc one baby swing), a short and taller slide, a small climbing wall, single pole merry-go-round and concrete path for the trikes, and a good area for structure for exploring. Some limited areas for toddlers.

    This small quiet playground is accessed via 23 Cairnes Road, Glenorie and sits behind the houses. It is mostly fenced and has limited natural shade. As toy equipment you can find a fort with two slides and a see-saw. This reserve offers picnic tables and some bushland.

    This playground is located on Carden Avenue. It is unfenced and unshaded. This park offers a variety of toys. As toy equipment you can find a fort with two slides and a climbing net.     Small, but nice playground in the residental area of Myrtle/Pine Street, Normanhurst. Two swings, one slide, climbing tower and a small see saw on soft fall. One table can be used as a picnic area and a half basketball court for older kids. Parking space is available around the corner in front of the shops.

  • Crosslands Reserve

    Playground:Crosslands Reserve
    A popular camping and picnic area at the End of Somerville Road, Hornsby Heights. The recently upgraded playground has a few sets of swing - a large bucket/net swing and a few long standard swing sets. There is also a good long flying fox. A great place with bushwalking, picnic area, weekend camping and access to the river.

  • Dawson Avenue

    Nice open playground on the fairly quiet Dawson St (almost opposite Clifford Ave). Lots of good different toys here, only partially fenced. The roped Maerry-go-round and swings are favourite with my kids. Beside some beautiful open parkland and bushland, not far from Thornleigh oval. There is a fenced off-leash dog area a short distance from the play ground.

  • Dusthole Bay

    This pleasant playground is down at Berowra Waters on the western side of the ferry. The playground has a boat theme and some good climbing. There is a sheltered area for parents to sit. Grab some lunch or a drink from the cafe and enjoy a picnic on the grass beside the water. There are toilets in the large car park. On weekends this area can be busy with people out enjoy their boats for just going for a pleasant drive.

  • Edna Seehusen Reserve

    Edna Seehusen Reserve park is a nice suburbian park, located in Cherrybrook. Children can play on forts with rope bridge, a slide and a climbing wall. There's a monkey bar with rings, a flying fox and a concrete cycling path. The playground is surrounded by trees, which give it lots of shade. Behind the park is a large open area, suitable also for high schoolers. There's fence all around the park, so children can run around and drive their bikes freely.

    This cute playground is set next to the Edward Bennet Oval, located on Neale Ave, Cherrybrook. Unfenced, unsheltered, suitable for toddlers. As toy equipment you can find baby and senior swins, springer and a fort with simple and spiral slide, abacus, sliding pole and climbing frames. Benches, covered and uncovered picnic tables and covered BBQ right beside the play area. There is a big open grassy field to run around, play ball and sports games, kite fly, or just to lounge in the grass. Great place for picnic, outdoor activity and relax with kids and friends.

    Elederberry park is found at the end of Elderberry Pl, Cherrybrook NSW. A nice clean local playground with swings (inc on baby swing), a small slide, spring rider and a small fort with a sliding pole. Nice quiet area and some shade from the trees beside the equipment.

There is a parking fee per vehicle of $5 (but you can walk in from the road, but parking fills up quickly on a sunny weekend) A popular and fun playground.

    This playground is set at the north side of Fagan Park on Carrs Rd (there is another playground at the south). It is unfenced, unsheltered. The play equipment includes swings and a play system with slide, monkey bar, flying fox and climbing frames. There is a bike track and a large open grassy field, great for sports and ball games. You can find picnic area and BBQ. Nice and quiet place with woods large grassed areas and lakes, great for relaxing picnic with kids. Entrance fee $5 per car (or park on the road and walk in)

    This medium sized playground is located inside the large Fearnley Park access from Chapman Avenue or Hannah Street Beecroft. It is unfenced and unshaded. Nice setting for kids younger and older kids.

    This lovely playground is set at Ferndale Park, located on Ferndale Road in Normanhurst. There is a small and cute playground for younger kids. It is fenced, unsheltered, but some areas are shaded by nice trees. Suitable for toddlers. As toy equipment you can find fort with tunnel slide, twisted tunnel, wooden bridge, abacus, noughts and crosses and ladder. There are 2 spring riders and a baby and a senior swing. You can find picnic table and bench under the shade. Unfortunatelly there is no car parking. Great place for fun and relax.

    This new playground found in a lovely quiet area on the side of the bush and at the intersection of Forest Way and Windybank Way. The fenced playground provides plenty of new equipemnt. There are also tennis courts and short bushwalks and cycling tracks nearby. Bring some food to cook on the BBQ and make a day of it.

    Next to the Foxglove Oval, Mt Colah, is set a well equipped playground, which is fully fenced, unsheltered and rubber soft fall grounded. It is located near Foxglove Rd. The play equipment features three suspended saddles, pommel swing, stand on spinner, spring rider, stepping stones and a play unit which includes fort, monkey bar, chain burmese bridge, pommel step bridge, slide, climbing mat, sliding and climbing poles, shop front and other elements. There is a shaded picnic table at the middle of the playground and a bench at the side. Right next to the play area is the Foxglove Oval (home of Hornsby Touch sports club) which is great for older kids and adults to playing sports and ball games. Car parking is very close.

There are nice woody places to walk and watch the relaxing nature beauty. Car parking and toilets are also available. Pretty nice place for a weekend picnic and relax with the family.     Nice, beautiful shadded playground opposite the Cherrybrook shopping centre. There are nice walks around the lakes, just outside the fenced area. Also, there is a small track around the play area which is great for the littlies to practice riding bikes and rollers. For older kids can be exciting the oval for community sports games. There is a bus stop nearby on Binalong Rd. Near the playground and the oval starts a big bushland, it can be enjoyable for those who love nature and walking. Nice shady place, good for outdoor activities.

There are sheltered picnic tables, BBQ and toilets on the fenced area. There is shade from trees around the edge of the park, but the main equipment has no shade.
